Book II Update | 127,476 Words and Counting

Hey Everyone!

I'm happy to say that between this past week and the week before, I have completed a new chapter in Book II, placing the current word count at 127,476.

The current word count does not reflect all of the words written in the book but the updated word count at the conclusion of a new chapter(s) finished by Sunday of that week. I have begun the next chapter and hope to have that completed soon.

This week brought me to a new thought process on how long Book II should be. There are specific critical objectives that I need to achieve, and for a while I was trying to set limits on myself to maintain a specific word count discipline.

However, after further thoughts on this, I began to realize that sometimes these limits can become too constricting and disrupt the creative flow process. For this reason, I am not going to make concrete the word count that I think it should be, but rather let the story play out, write it down, and simply enjoy the experience.

This topic of word count has really been turning into something deeper for me, one of which I believe some writers might feel intimidated to such a degree that they never start their books.
